I was reading Dan Weinreb's interesting article on "Why did symbolics fail?" and came across an excellent reference to Richard Gabriel's Patterns of Software essay.
it is official. i own a brand spankin' new iPhone. activated it yesterday. synched my whole life to it in a matter of minutes (from my mac pro). the only thing that allowed me to sleep last nite was the fact that i ran the battery all the way down from a full charge.
